MY STORY
AMIRAH'S STORY
Early in my editing journey, it was hard even to start or finish projects because I didn’t have the technology to bring my ideas to life, and I constantly compared my work to others, feeling like it wasn’t good enough. That started to change in 2020 when I got my first iPhone, and even more in 2022 with my first MacBook. Suddenly, I could actually create what I had been imagining, and I spent hours editing, often losing sleep, just trying to finish and prove to myself that I could. In 10th grade, I took my first Adobe class and earned certifications in Illustrator and Photoshop, then Premiere Pro, and finally InDesign; none of them came easily, and I had to retake exams multiple times, but that process built my confidence and showed me I really do have a place in this field. I’ve always been drawn to film and television because of how they make people feel, and I don’t just want to watch stories; I want to help create them and bring ideas to life. I also don’t want people to struggle the way I did, feeling limited or stuck, which is why my goal is to take that pressure off and create the work for them, something real, something meaningful, and something that fully brings their vision to life without the barriers I once faced.

THE CREATOR
My name is Amirah Muhammad. I am an Adobe Certified student who will enroll at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles in August 2026. This is where I will earn my BFA in filmmaking with a focus on film editing. I have always had a passion for all kinds of editing and am ready to take it to the next level with Muhammad Editing Co. My goal is to expand my services to both English and Arabic-speaking clients, reaching not only the U.S. but the Middle East as well. I want to grow this into something lasting, something people can trust, and I’d love for you to be part of that journey!
